With out going online or looking up a definition I think social design is a creative and thinking process that allows someone to think of ways to improve a social situation.
After looking up definitions I still like my definition but would include design that cares, design that can change, and acting responsibly. (creativeforacause.org)
Who? I fist think of Buckmisterfuller as being a social designer and thinker. Also bioneers are social designers. Along with Kate Andrews (design21sdn.com)
